..favorite recent purchases.
I do love to shop. Not, like, in person or anything. There are people in public, and you know I don’t like those.
But give me my morning coffee and peace and quiet while my husband is taking the three littles to school in the mornings, and my phone and I can do some serious shopping damage. It’s when I do my best work, actually.
Honestly, I don’t buy a lot this time of year because it’s cold, I’m resting, I’m tired from the nine months leading up to Christmas, and I don’t want to leave my house. What I’m trying to say is that my purchases are often random this time of year, but they are certainly not without merit. I bought some good stuff lately – and some absolute trash that I’ve sent back (two pairs of On Cloud sneakers that looked so cute on the Nordstrom website but showed up looking like plastic shoes in very different colors in real life).
On this chilly February Friday, I thought I’d share my four favorite purchases lately because I really, really love these items. Maybe you will, too. Maybe not, I don’t care – but I’m including links in case you do.

7 For All Mankind Lotta High-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans
Truth be told, I wasn’t sure I’d like these as much as I ended up loving them. I figured I’d return them, but I’ve only owned them for a little more than two weeks, and I’ve worn the absolute hell out of them. They are SO SOFT and don’t feel at all like jeans. I can’t use words to describe how soft they are, so I’ll try my best to use words to give you a small idea. They’re like wearing very thin sweatpants but also somehow softer and lighter at the same time. And the drape is GORGEOUS.
(These run slightly large, though. I ordered size 24 and wish I had returned them for a size 23, so I’d recommend sizing down)

I had to go back and order this set in multiple colors because I love it so much. It’s been so cold in the Sunshine State that I’ve holed up at home wearing this outfit on repeat. It’s so soft and warm, but I also still feel marginally cute wearing it while also being as fucking lazy as possible. Five stars – and now I’m mad because I see that it’s on MAJOR sale right now and I should have waited to order more! I’m wearing an XS pant and a S top for an oversized fit.
(The sweatshirt I have appears to be sold out, but still order the pants and just find a different sweatshirt from the many they offer…they’re all good)

Anine Bing Oversized Letterman Sweatshirt
I developed an obsession with an Anine Bing sweatshirt about a year ago. They fit so well, and they feel more elegantly casual to me than most sweatshirts. They’re also so fucking soft inside. I wear this one with leggings around the house, but I’ve also paired it with jeans to go out – both are super cute, and I always feel like I like more put together than I feel in one. I’m wearing an XS and love the slightly oversized fit. Highly recommend.

If there is one thing on this list that you go out and buy RIGHT NOW, make it this dress. I actually bought the green for a dinner at the beginning of January and loved it so much I bought the pink for a date night with my husband (the pink actually arrived damaged and needed to be replaced – Revolve’s customer service is spectacular, for the record), so I ended up wearing the green dress a second time on date night.
When I tell you that I have never received so many compliments in my life, I mean it. Dozens over the course of both occasions when I was wearing this dress. And the best part is that it was so inexpensive! The only issue I have with this dress is that it runs a bit large. I’m wearing an XS, and it’s a little baggy. Size down.

I would be remiss not to throw out an honorable mention for these Lululemon High Rise Sweats because they are so good & I saw that they’re on final sale, so you can order them for half price right now. I’d hurry, though, because they’ll sell out fast, marked down to only $70! They’re soft, comfy, and true to size. I’m wearing an XS, and they’re perfect around the waist, baggy in all the right places, and fitted in all the better places. Five stars.
I also want to share a fun story about the second photo with my husband-in-law (he’s been given this name because he is fortunate enough to be the husband of my best friend and my husband’s best friend at the same time). He hates – and I do mean HATES – my personal style. It baffles him that I purchase purposely distressed clothing, and this sweatshirt had him rolling his eyes hard over the weekend. So hard, in fact, that he found his Abercrombie and Fitch sweatshirt from when he was like…9 years old, put it on, and asked who wore it better. I take a tremendous amount of pleasure in annoying him because he’s always around, always there, and because he’s like the brother I never wanted. So now he’s forever immortalized on the blog, which will also annoy him endlessly.
And that, my friends, is my list of favorites for the week – I’ll have better options for you as the weather warms, our schedule becomes busier, and I am forced to venture outside the house more frequently (against my will) for my son’s and eldest daughter’s flag football games.
