Summer
The season of doing all the things, doing nothing, and making a lot of last second plans. It’s also the season in which I find myself ordering last-minute outfits I need on my doorstep…yesterday. That means ordering from Amazon because nothing else will get here fast enough. Let’s be honest, it’s not like we all had a year (or 247 of them) to pre-plan our fourth of July ensembles or anything.
Amazon to the rescue.
I don’t exactly expect clothing from Amazon to be high-quality, long-lasting items. But I do expect them to fit the bill for right here, right now, and for the price I pay on Amazon, I don’t expect to use these items for more than one season. But, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of my recent Amazon purchases. From workout clothes to around-the-house wear to athleisure, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by many of my recent purchases (and equally unimpressed by others). Not everything you’ll order from Amazon is going to work – or even be worth it – which is why I am sharing some of my favorite recent purchases that are worth it. The best part? Every item here is under $40 and fits true to size.
These sleeveless strappy tanks are my summer must-have. It’s hot in Florida, and tanks are a must. The only thing I’ll say about these is to wash before you wear because they do bleed – and wash them alone. (but really, who isn’t washing new clothes before wearing them?)
These high-waisted golf/tennis skorts are all the rage in my own life right now. While I don’t play tennis, I do golf (though not in the heat of summer in Florida…I do not like to punish myself). These skirts are so good for running errands and staying cool – and also keeping my bits and pieces covered. It’s also exceptionally flattering.
The other golf/tennis skort I ordered in multiple colors is this one. I love the waistline of this one, and I cannot even begin to tell you how many compliments this skirts elicits from perfect strangers.
This Free People lookalike is one of my favorite summer purchases. It’s too trendy to wear for long, but it’s cute this season!
I fell in love with this simple tennis dress immediately because summer ’23 is all about simple, casual, and perfectly paired with a ponytail and sneakers.
