Happy Friday, friends! It’s the third of July, which means tomorrow we get to celebrate the 250th birthday of this beautiful nation we get to call home. I’m proud to be an American, where the opportunities are endless and freedom is a beautiful thing, and I hope everyone celebrates this monumental weekend both safely and with vigor.
And since this week is all about the nation we call home, I thought I’d share my Friday Four Favorites for my home. It just so happens I’ve had a few home deliveries come through in the past week or so, and I wanted to share those with you because they’re a big hit. Admittedly, some are monthly subscription refill orders and not new purchases (hello, Hotel Collection), but some are new…and have been a HUGE hit in the Raiford household.
That said, here are the four things I’m loving this week for home.
- Hotel Collection Fragrance Oil
If you’ve ever been to our home, you know how good this stuff is. I always have fragrance oil going in our foyer, our master bedroom, and our family room because I love a fresh scent in our home (I’ll also note I get so many compliments on these two scents!).
My favorite fragrance oils are from the Hotel Collection. I’m obsessed with Cabana and My Way. While many of the other scents are good, these two are just the absolute best. The first time I ordered the Cabana scent, my husband and I both said it reminded us of being at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, California. The My Way scent reminds us both of being at the Plaza Hotel.

- Hotel Collection Diffuser
I didn’t think I’d like this diffuser because it’s large and not entirely obscure, but I really do. It turns out that it blends nicely with our fireplace décor, and it’s perfect for using my fragrance oils in the family room.
- Hotel Collection Classic Candles
Yes…I’m noticing the theme here. But these also come in my monthly subscription because I love to burn them in the kitchen, bathrooms, our bar room, and my husband’s office. Again, Cabana and My Way are my favorite scents, and I love that these candles burn FOREVER without leaving any smoke in the air, without being overpowering when they’re blown out, and without being overwhelming.
- Pool Basketball Hoop
I decided to save the best for last. This item has gone over so well since it arrived last week, and I needed to share. It took five minutes to put it together and fill it with water. We put it on the pool deck in the middle of the pool along the back edge, and it’s been a constant enjoyment for everyone in our house.
The first day we set it up, our son called our daughter’s boyfriend and invited him over to swim and play basketball, which they did for hours. The next day, all four kids were in the pool, in the water, together, playing basketball. Then my husband was outside in the pool with Carter for hours playing, and it’s been like this for a week.
If you don’t have one and you have a pool, get it. You’ll thank me later, but also you’re welcome.
