six items i’m wearing this fall as a sports mom

Cute but comfortable.

Sounds like an oxymoron coming from someone who has a closet filled with 120 mm So Kate Louboutins, but when it comes to dressing myself to watch my kids play sports, it’s all about the comfort.

Number one – no one needs to see me visibly sweating in this 115-degree heat and 7 billion percent humidity. Number two – it’s really hot. Number three – did I mention the weather?

When it comes to getting dressed to watch my kids play sports – whether it’s on the golf course or sitting in the stands at the football field, I’m going to bust out the athleisure. While athleisure is not my everyday go-to look (I prefer to leave workout clothes to the gym), it’s my go-to sports mom look because it’s easy, it’s cute, and it’s the most comfortable on the golf cart and in the stands.

Because my kids play outdoor sports in the hottest heat that ever heated the state of Florida, I go for tennis skirts, polos, and the occasional shorts with a tee. Here’s what I’ve ordered for my daughter’s upcoming golf matches and our son’s upcoming football games.

Lululemon Tennis Skirts

These are my favorite because they have built-in shorts with pockets, they’re light, breathable, and there are so many colors. I have greens and black and white and blues and pinks, and I can wear them with different color polos to mix and match to have a new outfit at every match.

Lululemon Track Shorts

For football games, sometimes a pair of shorts is the winner. I love these because they’re light. They’re also cute with a tee.

Lululemon Golf Polos

These are so light. I mean, so light. I never feel overly hot or sweaty in these (even though I am), and you can wash, dry, and wear them a zillion times and they still look brand new. Paired with the skirts, they’re perfect.

Lululemon Tee

Light, breathable, and it comes in a ton of colors. These pair well with the shorts for easy, but cute, and comfortable sports mom looks.

Ankle Socks

You will have to kill me and then fight my cold, dead body to get me in tall socks. I have great legs, and I like my ankles, so they’re out for the world to see.

Lululemon Bike Shorts

Sometimes, a great pair of bike shorts pairs really well with a team T-shirt when you’re sitting in the stands.
